William Pepper, Philadelphia, Pa., medical educator, was born on 14 May 1874. He married (1) Mary Godfrey (d. 1918), then (2) Phoebe S. Voorhees Drayton. Pepper died on 3 Dec. 1947. William Pepper attended the University of Pennsylvania, receiving an A.B. in 1894 and M.D. in 1897. He joined the faculty of the University's medical school in 1899 and was its dean, 1912-1945.
